And the said Alexander King having fully agreed to and with the said John King Sr. and Christina his wife to furnish them with a comfortable house and sufficient lot of ground for a garden attached to the same an d sufficient fuel and coal for their comfort and I Alexander King further agree to support the said John King Sr. and Christina his wife so long as they shall live with the necessary food and clothing for their comfort then this obligation to be void and null or otherwise to remain in full force and virtue of law and I Alexander King do bind the within named tract of land for the true performance of the above contract whereof I bind myself, my several heirs, executors and administrators and assignees for the true performance thereof. In the 1800 Census, there is a Henry King living in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, PA.
He is listed on page 2 of the census and has 1-0-0-1-0-1-0-1-0-0.
A Jacob King also is living in Hempfield Township on page 2 and has 4-2-0-1-0-0-0-0-1-0.
In the 1810 Census, I could not find the John King that I needed. I checked three of them in Westmoreland County and one that I found in Fayette County. One that intrigues me is John King in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, PA. Is this the father of our John Sr.? He has a listing of 3-0-3-1-0-1-1-2-1-0.
Henry has disappeared from the census.
In the 1820 Census, John shows up in Wayne Township, Greene County, PA on page 326.

In the 1820 Census, George, supposedly the brother of John, shows up in Wayne Township, Greene County, PA on page 326.

In the 1830 Census, John is now in Tyler County, VA. George is still in Greene County, PA. On page 174 of the Tyler County, VA Census there are two John Kings listed. The one is John Sr. and the other John is not related. John has this 1 male 5-10, 2 males 10-15, 1 male 15-20, 1 male 20-30, 1 male 40-50, 2 females <5, 1 female 5-10, 1 female 15-20, and 1 female 40-50.
In the 1840 Census, John is still in Tyler County, VA. with 1 male 20-30; 1 male 50-60; 2 females 5 -10; 2 females 10-15; 1 female 50-60. Living 3 houses from James King and next door to William King. Children still at home are Jacob, Deliliah, Christina, Sarah Martha, and Katherine. It seems that John and Christina have understated their age by 10 years.
In the 1850 Census, John is now in what is Wetzel County, VA. He is listed as 65 years old and his occupation is blacksmith. He is in dwelling 31 on the census with son, Alexander, in dwelling 29. Katherine is 18 and the only child still living at home. William is in dwelling 35 and John W. in dwelling 43.

virginiamccurdy35. Thank you so much for that information. The information I have comes from a books written by Don Green " Shawnee Heritage I" and "Shawnee Heritage II" . In book 1 page 145, item 786, John King, my great great great grandfather, and family.
I came through the line of son Hugh King, my great great grandfather.
You have much more information than I was able to get. I was told all the records were burned in fires.
