Pitillo - Turner
The marriage of Miss Donna Marie Pitillo to Larry Dean Turner took place on Saturday, May 30, at St. Aloysius Church in Springville. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. H. S. Zimmerman at 10 o'clock. The bride is the daughter" of Mr. and Mrs. Frank John Pitillo of 21 East Main Street, Springville, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond El-wood Turner, of Conger Road, Collins.
The floor length bridal gown of imported lace and tulle was fashioned with a fitted bodice, sa-brina neckline, and cap sleeves. The bouffant skirt was designed with a peplum of ruffled tulle with front and back lace panels. A matching bridal cap of lace and seed pearls , held the veil of illusion. The bride carried a cascade bouquet of white feathered carnations and talisman and white roses.
As her maid of honor, the bride chose Miss Alice Marie Nason, who wore a street-length gown of chantilly lace over aqua taffeta with a matching headpiece of aqua. She carried a colonial bouquet of white feathered carnations with talisman roses.
For her three bridesmaids, the bride selected another friend, Mrs. Calvin H. Girst, and two sisters of the groom: Miss Patricia A. Turner and Miss Donna R. Turner. The bridesmaids' gowns were the same as that of the maid of honor, and they carried colonial bouquets of carnations and roses.
The groom chose a friend, Doran E. Mesch, as the best man, with two other friends, Lynn H. Johnson and William A. Grimm, both of Collins Center, acting as ushers. Frank John Pitillo, Jr., brother of the bride, was also an usher.
For the wedding, the bride's mother chose a street-length gown of steel blue embroidered silk organza, with a pink picture hat and white accessories. Her cor sage was of pink roses.
Mrs. Turner, the groom's mo ther, favored a light blue street length dress of lace and tulle over taffeta, with white accessories. She wore a sorsage of white gar dinias and pink roses.
Following the Nuptial Mass, a breakfast and reception were held at the Springville Moose Club on North Buffalo Street.
For traveling to Atlantic City, New Jersey, the bride chose a black and white check sheath dress with matching jacket, red cummerbund, and white accessories.
Mr. and Mrs. Turner are now residing at 392 East Main Street, Springville.
