Runyan died in the Olean General hospital Saturday evening from lockjaw. Runyan caught his thumb of the right hand in some machinery while at work. Mr. Runyan was a resident of Olean for the last five years coming to Olean from Bolivar where he had spent nearly all his life. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks of this city. Surviving him are - his widow, Mrs. Frances Derby Runyan and - one son, Richard of Olean; - His father, Charles E. Runyan and - one brother, Claude, both of Bolivar. Funeral service were held this afternoon at the home. The Rev. Ernest A. Mathews of the First Methodist Episcopal church officiated. Burial was in Bolivar. Injuries To John Runyan Prove Fatal
