Old Pond Primitive Baptist Church, 1840's to present, Belfry, Pike Co., KY
The Old Pond Primitive Baptist Church at Belfry, Pike Co., KY is one of the earliest churches in that area. Made of logs about 1843, the church has been regularly serving the Baptists from the Mates Creek Association. Elder Jessie Ball was the church's first moderator, with Albert McCoy and John McCoy as deacons, and Adron Runyon was clerk. The church, though restructured by extensions and brick, is still standing today. Near it is the Pond Creek Baptist Cemetery, where Adron and his family are buried.

Clerk stated that "the foresaid Addon Runnun and Genne Mainare Produced the necessary Proof that the said parents of the said Genne was Consented and the said addon was over the age of twenty one yeas old." Bond dated ___ day of December, 1824 for marriage of "addon Runnen and Jenney Mainare", signed by "Addon Runnen" and Moses Mainare.
