MRS. GENEVA RUNYAN
OLEAN-Mrs. Geneva Runyan, 69,
of Aspen Tower, Olean, died Saturday
(March 21, 1992) in the Olean "
General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born Feb. 27, 1923, in Asheville,
NC, she was a daughter of William
T. and Ruby Bradley Caldwell.
On June 17, 1944, in Coudersport, she
married William C. Runyan, who
died April 28, 1987. -
Mrs. Runyan had lived in Cuba
before moving to Olean 1 1/2 years
ago, and she had been employed by
Cuba Cheese Inc. for over 20 years,
retiring in 1986.
She was a member of Christ •
Episcopal Church of Coudersport •
and its ladies auxiliary, and McKee .
Chapter Order of Eastern Star and ,
Rotary Anns, both of Cuba.
Surviving are
- a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Stojek of Johnson City;
- two sons,
Charles Runyan of Cuba and
Raymond Runyan of Kissimmee, FL;
- five grandchildren;
- a great-grandson;
- four brothers,
Ernest Caldwell,
James O. Caldwell and
Ralph Caldwell, all of Coudersport, and
Herbert Caldwell of Las Vegas, NV;
- a sister,
Mrs. William (Helen) Walters of Springdale, PA;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three
brothers,
Frank Caldwell,
William T. Caldwell Jr., and
Charles Caldwell.
Friends called Monday from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fickinger
Funeral Home, Coudersport. Funeral
services were held Tuesday
(March 24, 1992) at 1 p.m. in Christ [
Episcopal church with the Rev.
Herbert G. McCarrier Jr., vicar, offi- '
dating. Burial was in
Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.
Memorials may be made to the
American Cancer Society or to a
charity of the donor's choice.
