WELLSVILLE -- Jean E. Green, 81, of Trapping Brook Road, passed away Monday (March 22, 2010) at the Wellsville Manor Care Center.
She was born April 3, 1928 in Canisteo to Marion and Myra Dean Galutia. She was a 1946 graduate of Eldred (Pa.) High School. On Sept. 8, 1973, in Wellsville, she married Clifford Green, who predeceased her on May 11, 2003.
Jean was a long-time member of the Wellsville Seventh-day Adventist Church. She enjoyed gardening and adored her many pets. A homemaker for her entire life, her greatest pleasures came from family gatherings and having her home filled with the sounds of her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are five sons,
- Matt (Toni) Wlasniewski of Hamburg, Pa.,
- Thomas (Sue) Wlasniewski of Belmont,
- Theodore (Renda) Wlasniewski and
- Joel (Terri) Wlasniewski both of Andover, and
- Timothy Wlasniewski of Syracuse;
a sister, Elizabeth Glase of Port Allegany, Pa.;
a brother (Theodore (Jean) Galutia of Wellsville;
a brother-in-law, John (Jeanne) Wlasniewski of Chaffee;
13 grandchildren;
13 great-grandchildren and
four stepchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by
a brother Irving Galutia.
Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home in Wellsville, where funeral services will be held Friday (March 26, 2010) at 11 a.m. The Rev. William McNeil of the Wellsville Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate.
Burial will follow in Stannards Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Jean's name may be made to Wellsville Seventh-day Adventist Church, 419 Trapping Brook Road, Wellsville, NY 14895; or the SPCA serving Allegany County, State Route 19, Wellsville, NY 14895.

Edward J. Krane {Wlasniewski}, 53, of 3006 Nona Circle, died Wednesday at 9:45 p.m. in Doctor's Hospital after a short illness.
A Native of Buffalo, N.Y., he had lived in Shreveport 12 years. He was an employee of the Beaird-Poulan Division of Emerson Electric Co. and a veteran of World War II.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Wellman's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles W. Hoy, pastor of Laurel Heights Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Surviving are
his widow, Mrs. Antoinette Krane of Shreveport;
six sons,
- Edward John Krane Jr. of Shreveport,
- Matthew Wlasniewski of Maryland,
- Ted Wlasniewski of Cherry Point, N.C.,
- Tommy Wlasniewski and
- Joel Wlasniewski, both of New York State, and
- Tim Wlasniewski of Wellafield, N.Y.;
a daughter, Josephine Ann Krane of Shreveport;
a step-daughter, Anette Timblin of Shreveport; and
a brother, John E. Wlasniewski of Holland, N.Y.
Pallbearers will be Carl F. Jancen, L.D. Ashby, Red Davis, R. D. Addison, Ed Hormighausen, and Jeff Reynolds.
