OBITUARY: “Bert” McElroy Dies In Erie Hospital - In Ill Health for Past Year. Egbert C. McElroy, known to his friends as “Bert”, died yesterday (Dec 13, 1950), in the Hamot Hopital in Erie. He had been in ill health for nearly a year. “Bert” McElroy was born at North Bingham, June 12, 1888. He was a son of Clinton and Angie Clark McElroy. He married Hertha Mosch at Coudersport, Sept. 21, 1916. The family resided at Jersey Shore before coming to Coudersport 30 years ago. Deceased was engaged in farming and was a leader in Grange activities. He was Past Pomona Master. He helped in the organization of the R.E.A. in this section and was a director. He was a member of Eulalia Lodge, 342, F. and A.M. Royal Arch Chapter, Potter Commandery and Coudersport Consistory. Mr. McElroy was a member of the Methodist Church and funeral service will be held from the church Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock following prayer at the family home. The Rev. Gordon W. Loomis will officiate. -Interment will be in Eulalia Cemetery. Survivors are - Mrs. McElroy and three children: - Mrs. Jane Gardner, Coudersport; - Clinton, Erie, and - John, Mansfield. Three brothers are: - Frank McElroy, Jersey Shore; - Robert, Little Genesee, N.Y.; - William, Los Angeles, Calif. 7You, Barbara Ellen Mosch and 5 others Like Comments
