John our relationship goes back much further . I noticed in your tree that you are related to my maternal 10th Great Grandparents Captain Francis Drake and Mary Ann Walker. Oh and if you want the parents of Hugh P Dunn my uncle they were John Dunn Oct 15, 1620 born in Kirk, Merrington, Durham, England and his wife was Ann Hickson born April `12, 1629 sameplace documents aquired by my cousin in London and Ann died in 1700 in Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey . They had 2 sons Nicholas and Hugh P Dunn
And Joseph Runyan my 7th Gr Grandfather was married in 1735 in Piscataway to Hannah Freeman he also died 1780 Frederick Co. Va . Their first child Isaac my 6th Gr Grandfather was born 1738 Isaac had siblings named Peter, John G, Henry and William .. John G was born April 4, 1744 and died Dec 7, 1807 ..
I am a DOUBLE Runyon/Runyan/ Runnion/ Rongnion back to 2 of Vincent's sons since both my maternal grandparents go back to Runyon lines one through the Lusk family and one through Sampson Runyon I have my Drake line back to 1460 to Thomas Drake Sr and wife Agnes Butler my 14th Gr Grandparents.

Marsha, I just sent an invitation via email. [Mine is wetzupdoc@me.com btw.]
I'm surprised that you can't access it here, though. I clicked on you here, and it took me to your at ancestry which showed your trees, as hyperlinks. I accessed them fine.
It also showed that you and I are not connected by DNA but that one that I manage (brother Mike) DOES match one that YOU manage, J.F. 5th-8th cousin, and it showed me how, as I followed the thread. Maybe it was a wild goose chase. But you're right, we certainly are related.
I got your basic lineage from your tree and I will know what degree as soon as I connect the dots.

John I don't know A tree for J F . My tree is Fenstermacher, Gross, Lusk, Hardin/ Harden , Smith .....
I have been a professional researcher for 46 years and had my DNA tested 6 times . I find the best results from My Heritage, Although I like Ancestry best for their tree set up and the copies of documents that are sent to me . It has cut my personal travel time down a great deal. The first 40 years were all over the place and asking cousins in Ireland and Scotland for personal assistance as well. I am not able to see you tree without an invitation from you . marshadavebinkley@gmail.com will allow you to send one to me
btw Elizabeth Runner and John Runyon were my maternal 5th Gr Grandparents AS WELL, their daughter Anne not ANNA was my maternal 4th Great Grandmother married to Charles LUSK mom to 11 children.. So we are related directly

Marsha,
I just noticed that J.F., whose account or Tree you manage, is related to M.W., 5th-8th cousins, moderate confidence level. Mike is my brother, well- half-brother, a shock I received last summer. It was not known until then that Mike had a different father than the rest of us. I've only shared this with two brothers. Mother died in 2001, taking this little secret with her; my father does not know, to the best of my knowledge, and we have no intention of let him in on it, but I have been obsessed ever since in trying to find out who the father is. I've sponsored DNA tests for almost all of my family (siblings and children and grandchildren) over 3 different DNA companies (FTDNA, ancestryDNA, and this year, 23andMe).
All of this background to explain why I am interested in J.F.'s information. Is it real family (I mean, most likely biological/DNA), or was J.F. adopted?
The surnames in J.F.'s tree do not match with those found to be close to Mike's biological father in the 3 tests. Those are, mainly,
Campbell
Farnsworth
Perry
Chittester
although several are not uncommon names in Potter County (PA), where we grew up. One surname pops out, Veley, which is related to us both in Potter County, but not direct line. Mike's bio-father and I are also related, although more distantly, sharing my 4th grgrandparents John and Hannah TURNER DINGMAN.
Perhaps just a point of interest, but if you can add any information which might help, I'd sure appreciate it.
You should be able to view my tree. Because of suspected sync issues, I do not sync my tree, but rather, I replace it periodically, so it may seem to appear and disappear periodically.
Sincerely,
john

Hi Marsha.
I found the photo, I think, to which you're referring. Anna was actually identified in it, and 'grandma' was hand-written on her; it was the lady sitting with her, to her left, who was labelled as 'unknown'.
The photo had been shared by
"kalprice, who added this on 13 Jun 2012
CherBru originally submitted this to McCrary - Sneed Family Tree on 27 Sep 2008." Was Anna "CherBru's" grandmother?
I just realized that you're probably referring to the crop of Anna, but I used the original documentation for the photo of the two of them, including the poster's comment:
On the left is Anna Lusk Blank. I do not know who the woman is on the right. Please contact me if you know. On the back of the photograph is written "The two western Beauties".
I apologize for the confusion and have corrected this in the cropped photo of Anna. I hugely appreciate your drawing my attention to this, not to mention the extra information you've provided; I will update my Tree with that, too.
Anna was my 2nd cousin 4x removed; her father, Joseph, was my 1st cousin, 5x removed- Anna, Joseph and I share ancestry with my 5th grgrandparents John and Elizabeth RUNNER RUNYON, so we connect through in-laws, no direct line. But I enjoy connecting the dots, no matter how dotted the line!
Thank you so much for writing!
