Sandra I. "Sissy" Ahearn, 63, of Roulette, died on Monday, May 9, 2011, at her home following a brief illness.
She was born on July 4, 1947, in Coudersport, daughter of John J. and Ardath Murphy Pesock.
Sissy was a lifelong resident of the area and had owned and operated Ahearn's Pizza in Ulysses for many years.
She was also a beautician, working out of her home.
She loved her dogs and also her nieces and nephews, who she thought of as her children.
She is survived by
- her mother, Ardath Tucker of Coudersport;
- one brother, Thomas (Linda) Pesock of Coudersport;
- one sister, Cindy (Edwin) Daugherty of Port Allegany;
- nieces and nephews,
- Robin Wood,
- Michael Wood,
- John Caden,
- Chad Caden,
- Trisha Caden;
- grand-nieces and nephews,
- Brittney Wood,
- Kolin Strawcutter,
- Thomas J. Caden,
- Dalton Caden,
- Peyton, Caden,
- Isaiah Caden,
- Drew Benson,
- Maya Caden, and
- Lily Caden.
Also surviving is Cassie, her dog.
She was preceded in death by
- her father, who died in 1990; and
- her sister, Susan J. Wood, who died on Feb. 7, 1971.
A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011, at the Coudersport Gospel Tabernacle.
Burial was in St. Eulalia Catholic Cemetery in Coudersport. Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fickinger Funeral Home of Coudersport.
