I recently posted information about John Nicholas Hight, Revolutionary War veteran, son of Nicholas Hight & Ann Williamsen Covenhoven and the strong possibility that he was the grandson of John and Mary Heal Hight, founders of Hightstown, NJ
Today, while investigating the DNA match of my sister, Debbie Herbstritt Tautin, 1st cousin, Christin Ackley, and me with cousin Pam Clark, We all share the same 15 cM segment on the 12th chromosome. I found our ONLY matching ancestors, William Gerretse Kouwenhoven (Covenhoven) married to Jannetje Pieterse Montfort. This group of Covenhovens, Montforts, was part of a 1st cousin, 2nd and 3rd cousin group with routes in the Netherlands.
Because these Covenhoven ancestors are found on this one branch of the Davey-Rolfe-Hight branch of our family tree, I am concluding that all the ancestors from Albert Davey to Sylvester Davey, to Ann Jennette Rolfe, to Susanna Hight, to John Nicholas and Ann Covenhoven Hight are confirmed by this DNA match.
My sister, 1st cousin and I all share this same lineage which interconnects with Pam Clark from completely different directions.
