9-2-2007 Robert Allison Dexter writes:
"I notice the census lists the home as mortgaged. Grandpa Ralph was a day laborer and jobs weren't always plentiful. Maybe that accounts for the fact that they didn't stay in the house long. They lived in several different places while they were there before they moved to Washington. Their houses and the move are interesting stories, at least to the family. Dad always referred to the place as Coloma Corners, and the county as Coloma. I notice the census says Richfield, Adams County. I don't remember Dad ever mentioning Adams County, but I can't remember everything he said. He often mentioned that in school they had to memorize all the counties in Wisconsin."
