Mrs. Mary Jane Snyder
Mrs. Mary Jane Snyder, 53, of 713 Thomas St., Stroudsburg, died Friday in Pocono Hospital, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Numa J. Snyder.
A graduate of Mansfield University, she was a music teacher for Blairstown, N.J., elementary schools for the past 18 years. Before that, she taught in the Stroudsburg and Forty Fort school districts.
Born in Coudersport, Potter County, she was a daughter of Carl and Leah (Austin) Dewey of Coudersport.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stroudsburg, where she was a member of the choir.
Surviving with her husband and parents are two sons,
- David of New York City and
- Timothy of Raleigh N.C.;
three brothers,
- Robert of Mansfield, Tioga County,
- James of Princeton, Idaho, and
- Thomas of Coudersport, and
a sister, Ann Hart of Houston, Tex.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Monday in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg.
