A Pretty Wedding
Miss Ellamay Stearns Becomes Bride of James H. Campbell
A pretty wedding was held at the Hebron Seventh Day Baptist Church Saturday evening, when Ellamay, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Stearns, became the bride of James H. Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Campbell of Coudersport. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ronald Hargis, pastor of the church.
The bride was attired in white satin princess gown with lace trim and train. She wore pearls, a gift of the groom, and her bouquet was white roses. Maralee Stearns, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore an aqua ninon dress and carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses.
The bridesmaids were Mrs. John Rennells and Mrs. Jack Yard-lay. Their dresses were like the maid of honor's but were pink and they carried bouquets of roses. The bride's mother wore green with gray accessories and had a corsage of yellow roses. The bride's grandmother, Mrs. Lottie Harris wore blue with white accessories and had a corsage of gardenias. The mother of the groom wore green with brown accessories and had a corsage of yellow roses.
Dick Stearns, brother of the bride, was best man, and Robert Stout, Walter Goodman and Carson Marvin, brothers-in-law of the groom, were ushers.
Mrs. Harry Carley at the organ played appropriate wedding music and Clayton Stearns sang "I Love You Truly," "Through the Years" and "The Lord's Prayer."
The Church was beautiful with palms, white snapdragons, lilies and candles. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Community Hall for about one hundred guests.
Mrs. Campbell graduated from Coudersport High School, attended Salem College, Westbrook Business Academy and is employed as secretary at Brownhill & Kramer hosiery mill.
