Last Wednesday evening about 6.30 the house known as the Lucy Barber house, occupied by Vern Barber and owned by W.B. Kenyon [Warren DeLancey Kenyon? -jcw], was discovered to be on fire. The fire caught from an old fire place and spread so rapidly that it was impossible to save the house. Nearly all the property of Mr. Barber was removed from the building. This house was built over 70 years ago, by Dr. Collins, the brick of which it was constructed being made at a brickyard located near Tinkertown. We understand that Mr. Kenyon had no insurance. Although in very poor conditionk the house was of considerable value to Mr. Kenyon, and we sympathize with him in his loss.

  	November 1, 1906 Newspaper issue Date Warren D. Kenyon died rather suddenly Monday night from heart trouble, at his home on Maple Avenue. He was about town in the afternoon and complained of feeling poorly. A physician was called in the evening but he passsed away before morning. The funeral service was held at the Methodist Church at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon, Rev. H.F. Osborne of Custer City, formerly pastor here, officiating. Interment was made in the Rural Cemetery. Mr. Kenyon was well known through this section, having been born in town 74 years ago, and residing near here all his life. He is survived by a wife and eight children, also one brother and two sisters. He was a veteran of the Cival War serving in Company E. First New York Mounted Rifles. As a member of Sawyer Post. *G. A. R., he was faithful and efficient, filling his position as officer of the guard last Saturday evening. (Note: G. A.
