The Taggart Re-union.
The Taggart Re-unlon held at the residence of Mrs. Minerva Lyman and Mrs. Ada Lyman, In Roulette, on the 5th Inst., was one of the most pleasant occasion our vllllage has known.
The day was all that could be desired, warm and pleasant, while each one present seemed desirous of making others happy.
Where so many were present, ranging In age from the silver-haired veteran of seventy-two, to the Innocent pratler of a year, the different Btages of lire were well represented.
First in order was the greeting oi friends as they arrived from different points, and the hearty salutations spoke to the strength of family and friendship ties. Some time was spent In merry games, after which many gathered round the organ and rendered a choice selection of soul-stirring music. Soon came the summons to the dining room where was spread a most beautiful repast, to which the guests did ample justice. The tea was especially good from the fact that the water In which It was maae, was boiled in an Iron tea kettle over two hundred years old. An Iron orane- hmk and chain was also exhibited which was manufactured In Ireland, and has been in possession of the Taggart family for about the same length of time.
After dinner the young people gathered on the lawn to enjoy a few games, after which the entire company were called to the front of the house, where L. R. Bliss, of Coudersport, was making ready to photograph the scene. This picture will make a desirable souvenir of the time, for which he will have many orders.
More music was then called for, and with Miss Maty Taggart at the organ, assisted by Addie Knickerbacker, Len Taggart, Nellie Taggart, Lettie Craven, Luman Andrews, Edith Pomeroy, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams, Nettie Nelson, Mabel White, Sadie Lyman, Ellen Lyman, Miss Mary Bird, Mrs. J. M. Spafford, Mrs. Alice Walmsley, Mrs. Mary Earle, Mrs. O. B. Webb, Mrs. R. L. White, Mrs. Hattie Chesbro, Mrs. Helen Taggart, Mrs. G. W. Warner, C. M. Pomeroy, L. K. Bliss and Dayton Pomeroy. Some old fashioned pieces, such as "Auld Lang Syne" and "Coronation," with "What Shall the Harvest be," was given in a way that seemed to join all hearts in one.
Soon began preparations for those living at a distance to leave, and it is sincerely hoped that all those who were present will be permitted to meet again at the reunion next year, which was understood to be appointed at the residence of J. M. Spafford, in Lymansvllle.
---ONE WHO ENJOYED IT.

DENNIS HALL - On Saturday, July 6, 1912, Dennis Hall, a well known pioneer of this county passed away at the Warren Asylum, where he had been for the past twenty three years. Remains were brought for burial in the Homer Cemetery, located on the farm which Mr. Hall cleared and resided on for many years. He was one of the first settlers in the part of Homer Township, known as South woods, where he reared a family and became a prosperous farmer.
About 1872, Mr. Hall went to Emporium and embarked in business in that new town, but a serious sunstroke, added to grief over the death of his oldest and of his youngest sons, finally dethroned his reason, and required his care in the asylum. He was quite violent for several years but of late has been feeble and quiet, dying at the age of 86.
Mr. Hall was the youngest of the children of Dennis Hall, an early resident of Coudersport; David T. hall, Maria, wife of Judge Lyman Nelson, Louisa, wife of Daniel Clark, Laverna, wife of Dennis Cheesbro, and Eunice, unmarried, constituted the family, all now dead.
Funeral services held at residence of O. L. Hall on South East Street, Coudersport, Tuesday, July 9th at 2 o'clock. Rev. Geo. P. Donehoo officiating.
