Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Wettergren left Tuesday for their home in Fair Lawn, N. J., after being guests for several days at the Hotel Crittenden of the latter's cousin, Mrs. N. E. Barton and Mrs. H. N. Knight. Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Miles and three daughters, who were vacationing for a week on Lake Erie at Conneaut, O., were called home by the sudden death on Saturday of Mr. Miles' father, J. R. Miles, of Germantown. Mr. and Mrs. Miles left at once for Germantown. Mrs. David Perry and four children left Saturday for their home in Clifton Heights, Pa., after a two months' stay with relatives. They were accompanied by her mother, Mrs. F. W. Daugherty and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coyle. Mrs. Daugherty remained for a longer visit. Cpl. Charles Fred Baker expects to leave Okinawa, August 30, for the United States according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simeon Baker. Cpl Baker's last visit home was two years ago last month and he has been in Korea and other Pacific areas since January 1950. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Powers and son, Tommy, who have enjoyed a two weeks' vacation with his sister, Mrs. Evelyn Tucker, and Mrs. Kenneth Olin and her mother, Mrs. F. A. Stebbins, will return Sunday to their home in New York City. Mr. and Mrs. Olin will motor there with them. - . . . . Carl Smith, who is employed by Bell Aircraft, at Niagara Falls, N. Y., is spending a month's vacation in town with his father, Maurice B. Smith. They returned Monday from Sayre where the -elder Mr. Smith had been a patient at the Robert Packer Hospital for five days for observation and treatment. Miss Frances Benson returned yesterday from Conesus Lake, N. Y., where she had spent several weeks with her sister, Mrs. J. R. Cole and Mr. Cole. She was accompanied here by Mrs. Albert Michael and daughter, Sally, and Mrs. Fannie Farwell, who were en route to Mt. Alton to be guests of Miss Margaret Quinn. Pierce Brown of Maumee, Ohio, joined his family here Saturday and on Monday they all left for Providence, R. I., to visit his parents. They plan to return here before returning to Ohio. Chester entered the Navy on March 10, 1944, serving in the Asiatic Pacific on an LCI in Okinawa and was discharged January 16, 1946. He was a 68 year member of the Masons of Coudersport, PA, reaching the distinction of 33 degree. He was a Boy Scout leader, avid bowler, hunter and fisherman and antique dealer. Fishing was his passion, he loved to tell stories of fishing on his way to school. He became a master at tying flies. He was also a lifelong building contractor and cabinet maker in Carnillus and Penn Yan. He is survived by - one son, Burton (Arlene) Mosch of Redfield; - son-in-law, Fred Spicer of Redfield; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; - one brother, Richard Mosch of Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews. Chester was predeceased by - Beth Gridley Mosch in 1986 and - Eleanor Koch Mosch in 2009; - also a daughter, Regina “Sue” Spicer on June 27, 2014. Date of Death: July 20, 2014 Chester is the son of Emil Christian Mosch and Myrtle Edith Landon, grandson of Emil Ernest Mosch and Wilhelmina Hedwig Kortz, great grandson of Karl Herman Mosch and Caroline Scheider, Jacob Kortz and Katherine Pflugfelder. Beginning with the GENERAL INDEX TO DEEDS, which first shows the purchase of the property in warrant 2120 Sweden Township by Emil & Wilhelmina Mosch from Maude Fee Huff in May 1919, we see that a year later the same property was sold to their son, Emil C Mosch Jr. - picture 1- GENERAL INDEX TO DEEDS, POTTER COUNTY, PA - Grantees - picture 2- This is the deed showing the conveyance of 107.8 acres in warrant 2120 in Sweden Township. This would be very near the turn off from the Brookland Road onto A Frame Road. - picture 3- This is the conveyance of the same property from Emil & Wilhelmina Mosch to their son, Emil C Mosch Jr - picture 4- This is a comparison of the approximate locations of the property owned by Joseph Christian Herbstritt and the property of Emil Christian Mosch. The map on the left shows the location of warrant 2120, named in the deeds of both property deeds. Also when Otto purchased additional property in Galeton from George Miller in 1917. Also when Emil and Wilhelmina Mosch purchased the farm in 1919 in Sweden Twp from Maude Fee Huff for the purposes of setting up a farm for their son Emil Jr. Also this shows Emil Sr & Wilhelmina's sale of the Frinks Station farm to their son Frank Mosch in 1920 and also selling the Sweden Twp farm to their son Emil Mosch Jr the same year. Then in 1921 Emil Sr & Wilhelmina Mosch purchased a lot in Coudersport to build their retirement home on. This all falls in line with the history as we know it. This is for Paul Lynn Gardner and anyone else curious about the location of the Emil Christian Mosch farm. Beginning with the GENERAL INDEX TO DEEDS, which first shows the purchase of the property in warrant 2120 Sweden Township by Emil & Wilhelmina Mosch from Maude Fee Huff in May 1919, we see that a year later the same property was sold to their son, Emil C Mosch Jr.

This is the deed showing the conveyance of 107.8 acres in warrant 2120 in Sweden Township. This would be very near the turn off from the Brookland Road onto A Frame Road.

Paul Lynn Gardner Entries on here are very interesting for more than Emil Jr. This shows when Otto C Mosch purchased the store in Galeton from his uncle Chris R Mosch in 1916.
Also when Otto purchased additional property in Galeton from George Miller in 1917.
Also when Emil and Wilhelmina Mosch purchased the farm in 1919 in Sweden Twp from Maude Fee Huff for the purposes of setting up a farm for their son Emil Jr.
Also this shows Emil Sr & Wilhelmina's sale of the Frinks Station farm to their son Frank Mosch in 1920 and also selling the Sweden Twp farm to their son Emil Mosch Jr the same year.
Then in 1921 Emil Sr & Wilhelmina Mosch purchased a lot in Coudersport to build their retirement home on. This all falls in line with the history as we know it.
