Bowsie and Janice passed away so recently and close together. I’m sorry; that must have made this shut down even harder.

A few years ago, a man named Sam Sealy was trying to get in touch with Ernie. I randomly heard his friend talking about how to find someone who you haven’t been in contact with for decades. I told him I am pretty good at finding leads on the internet, so I would help. Then he told me the name. I was so surprised - I knew Ernie was a cousin. I said, “I think I can help you with that.” It turned out to be a bit more complicated though. I think I posted in this group, then Luke found out where Ernie was. I think Sam was going to try to either visit or get something delivered to Ernie. I don’t know if he ever did. Our mutual friend passed away a few years ago, but I just found the messaging between Sam & I. I sent him a note about Ernie’s passing. I know he was nostalgic about the time they spent together when they were younger.

I love the expressions on the parents' faces, so... happy, so content. I never knew Ernie, Sr very well or Florence but they seem very close in this photo, a remarkable warmth.

Aundrea Dunbar, Janice's daughter, told me a little about her maternal great grandmother (Florence Moran Mosch's mother). A while back, someone asked our group if there were native American blood lines in our family. It so happens that Aundrea's great grandmother was born a Native American Indian from the Seneca Tribe. "Crow Yellow Tail Crawford" or Ruth. Her parent died of dysentery. Ruth was then adopted by the Hanson family in Roulette. So it would make Pat, Ernie, Janice and Tom part Seneca. Their grandmother Ruth married Fred Moran, had 7 children, six girls and one boy and lived in a two bedroom house. Fred worked at the tannery and died at Christmas from chemical exposure. Ruth was 106 when she died.

This is for Paul Lynn Gardner and anyone else curious about the location of the Emil Christian Mosch farm. Beginning with the GENERAL INDEX TO DEEDS, which first shows the purchase of the property in warrant 2120 Sweden Township by Emil & Wilhelmina Mosch from Maude Fee Huff in May 1919, we see that a year later the same property was sold to their son, Emil C Mosch Jr.

Paul Lynn Gardner Entries on here are very interesting for more than Emil Jr. This shows when Otto C Mosch purchased the store in Galeton from his uncle Chris R Mosch in 1916.
Also when Otto purchased additional property in Galeton from George Miller in 1917.
Also when Emil and Wilhelmina Mosch purchased the farm in 1919 in Sweden Twp from Maude Fee Huff for the purposes of setting up a farm for their son Emil Jr.
Also this shows Emil Sr & Wilhelmina's sale of the Frinks Station farm to their son Frank Mosch in 1920 and also selling the Sweden Twp farm to their son Emil Mosch Jr the same year.
Then in 1921 Emil Sr & Wilhelmina Mosch purchased a lot in Coudersport to build their retirement home on. This all falls in line with the history as we know it.
