THANKSGIVING TRADITION
The McElroy Thanksgiving tradition in Coudersport started at the Frinks Station Farm in 1922, moved to the Gardner-Gamble home in 1950 and to the Leet home in 2006 and has continued every year to the present. Marriages, births and deaths have changed many who attend, but the spirit remains the same.
- Hertha Mosch McElroy is the daughter of Emil Ernest Mosch and Wilhelmina Hedwig Kortz,
- granddaughter of Carl Herman Mosch and Caroline Scheider. - with Clint McElroy and Betty Leet.

ANOTHER GERMANIA SCHOOL CLASS PHOTO - CIRCA 1909
Pictured are three children of Emil and Wilhelmina Kortz Mosch:
- Sophia Mosch (Palmatier),
- Emil Mosch Jr, and
- Walter Mosch.
Their brother Frank Mosch was not in the photo for some reason.
In the back row is Stanley Welfling who married Beatrice Straley (daughter of Theresa Kortz and Christian Straley).
Sophia, Emil Jr, Walter and Beatrice are the grandchildren of Caroline Scheider, Karl Mosch, Katherine Pflugfelder and Jacob Kortz.

The Carl Berne and Martha Berne, in this photo, are his grandfather and great aunt.
Carl is the father in law of Jim's dad, John McElroy and brother in law to John's mother, Hertha Mosch McElroy.

1945 JOHN McELROY AND JEAN BERNIE - COUDERSPORT, PA
This photo, most likely, was taken just before John graduated from high school and prior to his enlistment into the U.S. Army. Jean would graduate from high school the following year and would get her teaching degree at Mansfield State Teacher’s College. John would also attend Mansfield, under the GI Bill, to get a degree in Music, after his discharge from the Army. John and Jean were married in 1948.
John McElroy is the son of Egbert McElroy and Hertha Mosch, grandson to Emil Mosch and Willhelmina Kortz and great grandson to Carl Mosch and Caroline Scheider, Jacob Kortz and Katherine Pflugfelder.
