- Nancy McCaslin Miller Hi Ed, I grew up in Ulysses.
My mother was Donna Erway McCaslin and her mother was Minnie Mosch Erway. We use to go to the Kortz Reunions on Crandall Hill. That's where I met Beatrice and Stanley Welfling, Eleanor Taxis, Abrigail and Charles Rectenwald and Theresa and Charles who would stop by our home a couple of time a year and visit. We all enjoyed our time with them.

On this Memorial weekend, I would like to memorialize and honor all the people in my life who have given so much. Thank you for your service to our country.
My Father George Leroy McCaslin,
my husband Gary Miller,
my grand-daughter Dr. Ashley Dotson,
brothers in-law Tom Wilcox and Greg Shank,
Uncle Bob and Aunt Rita Erway Barnett,
Uncle Norman Goodenough,
one of my favorite cousins Edgar Emil Tucker,
Uncles Frank and Walter Mosch and
great-great grandfather Jacob Kortz. This is the kicker, Jacob came to America to avoid conscription but at age 40 took the place of a Mr. Bodler and joined the 99th Reg. Bucktail Division of Pennsylvania. He must have really believed in this Country!

John Christy Wetzel 'Shawn Duffy' sure looks like the guy identified as possibly 'Walter Mosch' in yesterday's postcard Paul Lynn Gardner with brother Glen, mother, wives, &...? I wonder if this would help in the identifications & explanations of that card?

John Christy Wetzel Horseshoes? At first glance, I thought some construction project, since the only Duffy I'm coming up with is Duffy, Inc. of Smethport, excavation. hmmm, maybe wrong track. Shawn, also 'Sean'

John Christy Wetzel Gary Miller, Where did you get the identifications? Could the guy marked 'Walter' actually be Carl Mosch Schoendorfer?

The picture was given to me by Franklin Mosch and Shawn Duffy was a friend. It may have been some of Uncle Frank Mosches photos so I believe the identifications are correct. Nancy

John Christy Wetzel Thx. Then I believe, that is Shawn/Sean Duffy in Paul Lynn Gardner 's photo of Chris Mosch's postcard of 16 May, "Here we are, all but Pa." Maybe this will help make sense of that, although it seems for the moment to add more mystery.
