In the 1960s Barby and Marty were students at Coudersport Jr-Sr High School. Knowing each other, having some idea that they may be related, but having no particular details of their lineage was not uncommon when growing up in Coudersport. I know that if you lived in Coudersport and your grandmother or grandfather was a Mosch, chances are you had several relatives within a few miles of your home, but who really had any interest in that sort of stuff when you were a teenager. This family Facebook Group has uncovered some pretty interesting stories and facts, this being one of them.
Toward the center of the 1968 Couderean Yearbook, side by side, are full-page photographs of the aforementioned. I would almost be certain that the committee had no idea of the “Mosch” connection when they selected these two bright, attractive girls to represent their school as festival candidates.
BARBARA MOSCH, Daughter of Dr. George and Ruth Mosch, granddaughter of Otto and Mabel Mosch and great granddaughter of Herman and Louisa Mosch.
MARTY ALICE METZGER is the Daugher of Edwin and Sally Metzger, granddaughter of Stanley & Olive Mosch Metzger and great granddaughter of Emil and Willhelmina Mosch.
Barby and Marty both are great great granddaughters of Karl and Caroline Mosch.

Leslee Jane Masolotte
I was the 1963 Laurel Festival candidate representing Galeton. My Mother was Louetta Mosch Mauz who was a daughter of Otto and Mabel Mosch and she was a sister to Dr George Mosch. Mom's youngest sister Donnie Mosch Vaughan Thompson was a candidate in the Miss Pennsylvania festival in the late 1940's.

I remember seeing Leslee Jane Masolotte in the Laurel Festival Parade or maybe Homecoming in Galeton. Can"t remember specifics except I was in awe with my beautiful cousin and she waved to me as she went by! I also remember Georgie and Suzanne Mosch being crowned Homecoming King and Queen in Coudersport.
