I am going to try to track down one of her children or grandchildren to see if they may have originals that they could scan for me to get better images (the memoir is quite old -typed on a typewriter and xeroxed I believe). I haven't read the whole thing but I did find this passage referencing Calvin "Dad's father died when Daddy was only fifteen. His mother and father had been separated before that. Dad lived from pillar to post most of his boyhood"....and this "My great-aunt, Myrtle Barcume Branch, Grandma's sister, once told me that "Julia only married Cal Hall out of pique on the rebound from an unhappy love affair.
