The other sponsor was Josyna Gardenier Wheeler's brother-in-law Obadiah Cooper, who also happened to be the baptismal sponsor for Samuel Wheeler in 1713. Last Changed: October 19, 2025 G Glenn Wheeler all 14 known children clearly linked to parents via source church records. There are documented Church Baptismal Records for 13 chidlren of the family. They are Jan, Sara, Breechje, Marietje, Thomas, Jacob, Evert, Helena, Henrik, Dorthea, Jackemyntie, and Elizabeth. Robert is the only child that does not have a baptism but his marriage record states he is a son of Evert Weiler of Kinderhook. MANY MANY PEOPLE have added another son named John burn about 1715 as another son. THIS IS INCORRECT. Elizabeth Wheeler daughter of Edward/Evert and Josyna Gardenier marries a man name John Weiler. Thus confusing many people, as the baptismal records of the couple clearly shows a link to the Evert & Josyna Wheeler Family. The link is through the daughter Elizabeth Wheeler not the man JOHN WEILER listed as being born in 1715. If you look at the baptismal records for Kinderhook reformed chuch in 1749 and 1752 (the Chronolgical baptismal book, and not the alphabetical index in family search), you will see that in 1749 & 1752 the mother’s maiden names are listed - which clearly shows John Wheeler and wife Elizabeth Wheeler.
