Mr. Spring became ill last December while visiting his daughter in Snyder, and had been confined there since. Born Dec 12, 1878. he was the son of John and Clara Agnes Mayes Spring, both natives of England. He was married Sept. 29, 1909, to Violet Baker. who survives. Well known in this area as a lumberman, he also operated a commercial garden for several years. Surviving. in addition to his wife and the daughter in Snyder, is a second daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Betty) Brown of Belvidere; one son. Paul R. Spring, also of Belmont RD 2; 10 grandchildren: two sisters, Mrs. Fred Salmen of Lake Worth, Fla., and Mrs. Ethel Herdman of Almond, and one brother, Basil Spring of Bolivar. Funeral arrangements, under direction of Davis Funeral Home, Friendship, were not complete this morning. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., beginning tonight.
