[Published Feb 13, 1919] - Mrs. Emma Knight Dies Suddenly of Apoplexy.
Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church in Roulette occurred the funeral services of Mrs. Emma Knight, wife of Ira Knight, of Roulette. Her death came suddenly as a result of apoplexy.
She was forty-eight years old last June and was the daughter of the late Michael Weimer.
She is survived by
- her husband and
seven children.
Reverand Lowman, pastor of the Methodist church officiated at the funeral services.

ROULETTE, PA Mrs. Vesta K Miller, 87, of Roulette died Friday (Jan. 12, 1990) in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, following a long illness. Born April 25, 1902, in Fishing Creek, she was the daughter of Ira B. and Emily R. Weimer Knight.
On July 7, 1921, in Portville, NY, she married John F. Miller, who predeceased her Jan. 5, 1958.
Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Roulette High School, class of 1921, and was employed as a matron for several years at the Bradford Children's Home She was a member of Fishing Creek United Methodist Church, the Hebron Grange 1251, a member of the former Roulette Rebekah Lodge, and a member of the Fishing Creek Ladies Aid.
Surviving are
- a son, Merrit M. Miller of Roulette;
- a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Laura) Tauscher of Greenville, TN;
12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson;
- a brother, DeForest L. (Buster) Knight of Port Allegany;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by
two sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P. M. at the Virgil L Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, where funeral services and committal services will be held Monday (Jan 15, 1990) at 2 P. M. The Rev. James T. Wenrich, pastor of the Coudersport Area Larger Parish of the United Methodist Church, will officiate.
- Burial will be in Andrews Settlement Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fishing Creek United Methodist church, RD 1, Roulette, PA, 16746; the Hebron Grange, RD 1 Box 31, Roulette, PA, 16746; or a charity of the donor's choice.

farmer, P.O. Roulette, son of George and Eve Weimer, was born in Alsace, France, in 1824.
He came with his parents to America in 1830, locating in Roulette township, where he was reared. After reaching manhood he located on the farm he now owns in Roulette township, and engaged in business as a farmer, also dealing extensively in lumber.
He was married in 1849 to Rebecca, daughter of Elder Barr, and their children are
Loetta, wife of William Tauscher;
Sarah, wife of Perry Brock;
George;
Eve, wife of Isaac Dingman;
Nettie F., wife of Llewellyn Matteson;
Ida, wife of Delno Wright;
Viola, wife of Edgar Whaley;
Augusta, wife of R. Lee Burt;
Gracie, wife of William Ruby;
Emily, and
Michael.
Mrs. Weimer died April 13, 1887. Both were members of the Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Weimer is a member of the Democratic party.
During the war he enlisted in Company A, Ninety-ninth Pennsylvania Volunteers, and was mustered out of the service in 1865.
