Shinglehouse Man Takes Ceres Miss As Partner for Life.
Miss Jocelyn Louella King became the bride of Lewis Edward Sherwood at the Ceres Methodist Church, Saturday, March 31. Mies King is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. King and Mr. Sherwood is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Merville Sherwood Sr., Shinglehouse. The Rev. Roy M. Black officiated before an altar decorated with baskets of pink snapdraggons and white pompons and palms. ' Traditional wedding music was played by the cousin of the biide, Mrs. Raymond Yonker. Vocal solo ist was Dr. Andrew Johnson, Brad-for, who sang "O Perfect Love," "The Lord's Prayer" and "Because." The matron of honor was Mrs. Warren Paynter, sister of the bride, while Miss Barbara Jo Mix wau bridesmaid. The best man was Donald-Phillips, 'ushers were Verne Canfield and Clifford Phillips. The bride, given in mariiige by her father, wore a gown of imported chantille lace and tulle over satin. The long sleeved fitted bodice was of lace, topping the bouffant hoop-skirt with alternate panels of the lace and permanently pleated panels of the tulle. Her bridal cap supported the French finger-tip length veil of illusion. She carried a whit i Bible topped with oichid and satin streamers. Mrs. Paynter were a ballerina length gown of light blue, lace over taffeta with full skirt of' net. She wore with this a matching headpiece and lace mitts and carried an arm bouquet of 'white carnations and pink snapdragons. Miss Mix wore a dress of similar design of lilac lace and net with matching lace mitts and head-piece. She carried an arm bouquet of white carnations and yellow snapdragons. i The bride's mother wore a navy blue with ' black accessories and a corsage "of red roses. The bridegroom's mother wore lavendar with black and white accessories and a corsage of yellow snapdragons. The bride's grandmother was attired in a black dress with black accessories and wore a corsage of white roses. Immediately following the cere mony a reception was he)d in the Grange Hall with about 150 attending. The coupl8 left for a wedding trip through the southern states. For her traveling costume the bride wore; a navy . WuiiSress-, trim-: med :with' white cUe and' accented with red accessories. She wrirfc air orchid' dorsage. Upon' 'StJieir return, Mr. and Mrs, Sherwood will.reside in Shinglehouse. Both the bride and bridegroom - were5 graduated frcm Shinglehouse High School. Pre-nuptia! parties included a variety shower given by Miss Barbara Jo Mix and Mrs.- E. E. Oleson, a dinner party given by office girls of F. C. Thomas, Inc., and Mrs. Wayne Landries. , .Guests attended the wedding frcm Bradford, Olean, Shinelehouse. Bolivar, and Rochester; also Akron and Cleveland, Ohio; Westfield, Pa. anu Indiana and Iowa.

The marriage of Miss Lois King, daughter of Mrs. Winifred King of Ceres, N. Y., and Erwin Olson of Woodstock, Ill., took place Saturday evening at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. R. W. McCoy, of Dallas City.
The Rev. Paul G. Miller, pastor of the East End Presbyterian church of Bradford, read the ceremony. Miss Harriet McCoy and Frank King, niece and brother of the bride, acted as attendants.
Following the ceremony, a reception at the McCoy home was attended by 20 guests.
After a brief wedding trip to un-announced points, the couple plans to reside in Buffalo, where Mr. Olson is employed as a representative of the Woodstock Typewriter company.
