I have hundreds of marbles that I won from Monte ( whom we called Buddy back then) when we were kids. I didn’t recall that he played quarterback. Such a good guy.

Yes and he was a great teacher. I didn't have him but my brother, Steve, did and thought highly of him. One story about Monte is long before school breakfasts, he noticed one of his student came to school each morning, hungry. So,he started taking a breakfast they could share before class, sparing the student humiliation and getting him or her off to a good start for the day.
