Source: 1) Bedfordshire Parish Register (Bed 2, Vol 40) Notes: a) According to genRep jcw 10 gen.rtf, Thomas Spring (#192) and Sarah Bird (#193) were the parents of John Spring (#96) born 10 Jun 1787 in Goldington, England. And the endnote (as I understand it) is: ftw Bobby Spring Electronic. Everything fits with the Bedfordshire Parish Register, except, according to the record, both John Springs died. I figured it had to be one of the other sons of that family, but before I quit working on genealogy, I wasn't able to connect the dots. (In the 1960's, a person had to scroll through hours of microfilm to find anything). Another possibility, of course, is that the wrong child was listed on the register as having been buried. I don't think I misread the register, because I recall wanting to get the same answer you got.
