Obituary of Beverley Neidlinger
ROULETTE, Pa. - Beverly L. Neidlinger, 94, of Roulette and formerly of Akron, Ohio, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 15, 2013) in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born Aug. 4, 1919, in Laquin, she was a daughter of Walter A. and Reba Warner Palmeter.
She married Major W. Grandin, who died on Jan. 28, 1983.
She later married Floyd L. Neidlinger of Akron, Ohio, who died on Nov. 27, 1998..
Beverly was a graduate of Roulette High School..
Surviving are
- a son, William H. (Irma) Grandin of Roulette;
three daughters,
- Sandra J. Heck of Tioga,
- Reba Sue Pierce of Allegany, N.Y., and
- Charlene R. Meacham of Coudersport;
two stepsons,
- Paul (Joyce) Neidlinger of Florida and
- Harold "Bud" (Patricia) Neidlinger of North Carolina;
two stepdaughters,
- Janice Mittelstaedt of Ohio and
- Nancy (Homer) Gillespie of Florida;
many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews..
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Neidlinger was predeceased by
- a daughter, Naomi Joy Perkarski of Coudersport;
three stepdaughters,
- Phillis Koegle,
- Wilma Griffa and
- Martha Maley, and
a stepson, Glenn Neidlinger, all of Ohio;
and two brothers,
- Henry Palmeter and
- William Palmeter, both of Williamsport.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 27, 2013) at the Riverside Methodist Church in Roulette, with the Rev. Donald Busch, pastor, officiating, assisted by her son, William Grandin. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Williamsport, at the convenience of the family..
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Women's Society of Roulette Riverside Methodist Church or to the Building Fund of the Roulette Riverside Methodist Church, both c/o Lucille Church, 86 North St., Roulette, PA 16746..
Arrangements are under the direction of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse. 50. MAJOR WEIMER was born in Pleasant Valley Township, Potter County, July 23, 1872, the son of Otis and Huldih Jane (Johnson) Weimer. His grandfather was one of the early settlers of Potter County. Mr. Weimer received his early education in the public schools. He was a lumberman for several years and was also connected with the tannery business. He is now associated with the Pittsburgh Corning Glass Company. Mr. Weimer is a member of Eulalia Lodge Number 342 F.&A.M., Coudersport Chapter Number 263, Coudersport Consistory, having been in the first class when it was organized in Coudersport in 1899. He married, February 16, 1897, Virginia D. Rossman of Sweden Hill. She is a member of the Baptist Church. They have four children: Geneva (Weimer) Grandin of Roulette; Naomi (Weimer) McLatchie of Coudersport; Dema (Wiemer) Burt of Cyclone; and Florence (Weimer) Gallup of Port Allegany. Mr. Weimer's hobbies are hunting and fishing.
