• STANLEY SPRING
Stanley Spring, 3732 So. D St., was stricken with a heart attack Thursday afternoon at Center and M Sts. was pronounced dead on arrival at a local hospital. Born m in New York state, he had lived in Tacoma for 49 years. He was a locomotive engineer for the Northern Pacific Railway, retired after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Besides his wife. Edith, he is survived by a son, Robert of Tacoma; a daughter, Mrs. Emily Carsten of San Diego; two brothers, Rex and Basil, both of York; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes.
