Here is my mother's baby sister, Diana (Weimer) (Wackwitz) Carpenter.
She was married to Melvin Wackwitz who passed away in June of 1966 from a tractor trailer accident.
She then married Harold "Jr." Carpenter.
She passed away January 20, 2011 from cancer.

Ok. I understand now. Michael and Rebecca would have been my grandpa Weimer's grandpa if I am correct. Because my grandpa Victor wanted my mother to name my youngest brother George Washington after his father. Grandpa Weimer's parents were George Washington and Susan Knight Weimer

Mom passed away December 15, 2012, my dad passed December 5, 2012, mom's sister Ida passed away March 27, 2004, mom's other sister Diana passed away January 20, 2011. Her brother Victor passed away September 17, 1993 (I believe.) She had 2 half brothers Richard Stevens passed away in July of 1981 and Leon Charles Stevens that passed away I believe in 2000.

She has one brother left and his name is Meril Weimer. He lives in Baltimore. He was born November 3, 1932. The half brothers were Freda's from her first marriage to Clinton Stevens from the Stueben County area in NY.

Terry L Stives (born 1956) Freda (Stives) (Barrett) Zeluf (born 1957) Diana L (Stives) (Robarts) Gordon born 1962, Myself Donald Jr. born a few years ago. Lol and my younger brother Timothy G. Stives born 1967. My parents have 16 grandchildren 3 step and 14 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
Ida had 7 children. Keith Jackson Sr., Rose Jackson (who passed away in 1996 from a gun shot from estranged husband) Sharon (Jackson) Kio, Carl Jackson (who passed away a couple of years ago from cancer, Carol (Jackson) Kibbe and Gene Jackson. They were all Jacksons. Ida was married to Paul Jackson from Bloody corners.
Diana had 8 children. 4 from her first husband Melvin Wackwitz. Carmen Kontz, Victor Wackwitz, Melvin Todd Wackwiz, and Jeff Wackwitz. 4 from her second husband Harold "Jr." Carpenter. They are William Carpenter, Harold M. Carpenter, Mary (Carpenter) Prescott and Jeanette Carpenter.

RIchard had 1 and 1 adopted, Uncle Steve (Leon Charles but we called him Steve) had I believe it was 10, Meril has 10 (I believe) and Victor had 8.
My grandparents were blessed with many grandchildren. I would say 50 plus. The great and great grandchildren out of this world.

Wow, Don, thank you! That’s a lot to absorb, fills in so much. I was looking last night for Harold Carpenter, to make the connection. I think I have 'Jr's' father, born 1900(?) I’m working on a huge puzzle in the genealogy of the area and it’s exhilarating to connect different lines with a new marriage (new to me). Thank you again for sharing.
As for me, my grandmother, mom's side, was the identical twin of Eva Snyder Swift of Hebron, and sister of Grace Snyder Pepperman and Liz Snyder Tauscher. Iva married John SPRING and they raised a family of 9 kids in Allegany, Cattaraugus, NY.
Liz and her husband Wm Raymond Tauscher were my neighbors in Coudersport; Uncle Ray was a prolific carpenter, from whom I learned invaluable skills over my early years. Ray and Liz adopted my mother's youngest sister, Sue, after their mother Iva died of cancer, at half the age of her identical twin (contracted at Acme Electric, working in an atmosphere of what we now know are carcinogenic chemicals.)

I believe Jr's father was born 1899. I believe if you check find a grave for Harold Carpenter he is buried at Rathbone cemetery in Coneville with his wife Mary (Stebbins)

A relative of mine Judy Mead Blackman has a lit on my side. Both sides as far as my parents. She is related to me in the Stives side but her mother was married to one of my mother's brothers at one time.

Don Stives I’ve got one of those, too! Probably not as uncommon as I thought, but my parents are from quite different areas. Through the DNA testing, I am in touch with a Hall (mom's side) who is also descended from Hatfields, of feud fame in West Virginia, dad's side.
And yep, that Harold is the one. Now for some cool linking!

I wanted to share a picture of my parents.
Donald "Duck" Stives and Doris (Weimer) Stives.
Married January 26, 1957 in Millport, Pa on Canada Hollow.
Doris was the daughter of Victor and Freda (Bolduc) Weimer.
Victor was born in Roulette, PA. His parents were George and Susan Knight Weimer.
My parents lived in Coneville until 1975 when they moved to NY state to be closer to my dad's work which was in Portville at Fibercel.

He worked part of a shift then wife took him to Portville for evening work as I recollect,he was a real worker,that was the winter of 74 and conditions at that mill were brutal.

I wanted to share a picture of my parents.
Donald "Duck" Stives and Doris (Weimer) Stives.
Married January 26, 1957 in Millport, Pa on Canada Hollow.
Doris was the daughter of Victor and Freda (Bolduc) Weimer.
Victor was born in Roulette, PA. His parents were George and Susan Knight Weimer.
My parents lived in Coneville until 1975 when they moved to NY state to be closer to my dad's work which was in Portville at Fibercel.

He didn't work there very long but he was there. He was a character.

He worked part of a shift then wife took him to Portville for evening work as I recollect,he was a real worker,that was the winter of 74 and conditions at that mill were brutal.

We moved from Coneville in 1975 and dad was in a accident by the old Spring hill dairy in Portville in November of 77. That is the last he worked at Fibercel.
