Worked at Taylor Hospital
Alan Roger Lewis, 57, of Vineland passed away Saturday afternoon, Sept 5, 2009, at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland.
He was born in Bridgeton to Clarence Harold Lewis and Charlotte Lorraine Lewis. After serving his country as a security policeman in the UJ3. Air Force, Alan went to work for Taylor Hospital. His career at Taylor Hospital spanned 25 years, starting as an electrician and retiring as the director of facilities.
Alan is loved and will be dearly missed by
- his wife of 38 years, Theresa Ann;
- his son, Alan M. Lewis;
- daughter and son-in-law,
- Jennifer and Colin Gillooly; and
three grandchildren,
- Liam,
- Cole and
- Mia Gillooly.
- He is also survived by his mother, Charlotte Swydersky;
two sisters,
- Letha Duncan and
- Susan Lewis;
and sister-in-law, Martha Robinson, all of Pensacola, Fla.
He was predeceased by
- his father, Harold Lewis; and
- brother, Adam Ellsworth.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Alan's memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday at the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St, Millville. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
