Dear Sheila,
You’ve already read all I have on that side of the family. The Billington connection I got from the Mayflower, haven’t returned to research that area more, but there should be a lot of information out there.
Thank you for sharing what you have; when I get a chance, I’ll add what I don’t have, see if it makes sense and leads anywhere.
Sincerely,
john

Hello, my name is Sheila Martin-Creech. I found your address on Rootsweb World Connect via the GEDCOM's you had uploaded about John Martin and Mercy Billington.
I am desperately trying to find someone that has further information on the descendants of John Martin. I descend through John Martin ca. 1715 (?) married to Agnes Lang b. July 1715. They were married on November 25, 1731 in Portsmouth, Rockingham Co., NH. They had the following children from research and some records I have found to date: John ca. 1733, Richard ca. 1735, Elizabeth ca. 1737, Mary ca. 1739, William ca. 1745, Anna b. September 1747, Jane b. December 1752.
John Martin was listed on the tax rolls of Portsmouth, NH in 1727, source seacoastnh.com listed in Brewster's Rambles #30. I assume this was John Martin, Jr. ca. 1682 son of John (and Mercy Billington ) Martin son of Richard Martin. Records of Ralph Martin indicate that Richard Martin was a citizen of Portsmouth, NH in 1671( Residence: 1671, Portsmouth, Rockingham Co., NH - Source: NEHGS "Register", "Notes," New England Historical Society: "Early Settlers of Portsmouth, N.H." pg. 180.). Richard's will dated June 2, 1686 states that John, Grace, and Agnes (Annis) were his only children then living in New England. His other children (I.e.; Francis, Richard and their children) were still living in old England
From this information I have to assume that my ancestor Nathaniel Lang Martin son of John Martin ca. 1733 and ? of Portsmouth, Rockingham Co., NH son of John Martin and Agnes Lang b. 1715 also both of Portsmouth, NH. ascends back to John Martin and Mercy Billington Martin.
If you have any information on this lineage that may help me prove my ancestors lineage I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.
Sheila
