Company B, 7th West Virginia Cavalry during Civil War Military Jasper Workman was the son of Jospeh and Elizabeth (McNeely) (Elkins) Workman. He first married Martha Gore (Chambers) Workman, and after her death married Arrisba (Hinchman) (Ballard) Workman. He ran a saw mill on Pond Fork, Bone County, West Virginia. When his family decided to go to Oregon, he put together and the trees were to big and wouldn\'t fit thru the mill. Jasper Workman was a Sargent in the Civil War for the North. He was bush whacked at some point during the war and his mind started to slowly deteriorate over the next 50 years. | |
