• Bailey-Siems Vows Exchanged June 28
One and twenty-five guests witnessed the exchange of marriage vows between Dorothy Adeline Siems, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Siems of Roseburg, Charles Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Bailey, also of Roseburg, the evening of June 28 at 8. o'clock. Dr. Morris H. Roach officiated at the single ring ceremony.
Miss Beverly Walz of Roseburg was maid of honor. She wore a light green net gown over satin and carried a bouquet of white gladioli. Miss Kay White and Miss Pat Richman were bridesmaids and also wore green net gowns over satin. Their bouquets were of white gladioli. Little Susie Osborn was flower girl, and the candlelighters, dressed in pale green, were Sandra Siems and Wayona Melton. Ushers were Charley Melton, Robert Hall and Orville Walz.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a gown of white satin and nylon net. She carried a bouquet of gladioli centered with an orchid.
The church was decorated with blue delphinium and lillies. Mrs. Homer played the organ softly preceding and during the ceremony. A reception followed Sat., July 12, 1952 - -The News- Review, Roseburg, Ore.
THE WEDDING OF Dorothy Adeline Siems, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Siems of Roseburg and Charles Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Bailey of this city, was an impressive event of June 28 at the First Presbyterian Church. The entire bridal party is pictured above and below, the bride and bridegroom are photographed at the altar. The bride's mother wore a blue nylon dress with pink accessories. The bridegroom's mother was attired in a rose lace dress and had white accessories. Out-of-town guests included Althea Parsons, Ruth Siems, Mrs. Donald H. Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kerr and Mrs. Leah Stephens, all of Portland.
For traveling, the bride chose a nylon dress with white. accessories. 'The couple went to California on their wedding trip. The bride, now employed at the Indian Theater, was graduated from Roseburg High School in 1952. The bridegroom was graduated from Oregon State College in 1952. He is in the armed services at the present time. |
