Milk Route Changes Hands - To Be Employed on the Highway at Wllliamsport.
Burtville, Aug. 28. -- Wm. House was in Coudersport, Monday.
Miss Rena Allen of Port Allegany was in this place, Sunday evening.
Mrs. Hazel Kinney and son Jack of Port Allegany visited Mrs. G. O. Witter, Saturday.
Mrs. Wm. House was shopping at Port Allegany, Monday.
Several from this place attended the Fortner family reunion which was held at the home of Everard Card at Grimes District, Thursday. About 45 were present and all enjoyed the day.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wetmore and Miss Glenola Avery were Portage visitors, Sunday and Monday.
Marshall Bickford and family were over from Rixford for the week-end.
Mrs. Mary Robinson, daughter Mariella of Port Allegany, Mr. and Mrs. Olney Robinson of Erie, were callers at Riverdale Farm, Thursday.
James Jay has gone to Williamsport, where he has employment on the road.
M. R. Card and Wm. House were Portage visitors, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Kibbe of Trout Brook visited at Wm. Kibbe's, Thursday.
Mrs. Minerva Clark, Mrs. Anna Nenno and Burdette Lindsay were in Austin on business, Saturday evening.
Miss Sadie Arnot of Port Allegany spent Saturday at G. O. Witter's.
Ed Anderson has sold his milk route to Mr. Stiffier.
Mr. and Mrs. Hunter and daughter, Donna of Port Allegany called at M. R. Card's, Friday evening.
Warren Card, Mr. Vanocker and daughter Nina were Niagara Falls business visitors, Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. O. V. Goodnoe and little daughter, Tessie, were calling on Crandall Hill relatives, Sunday.
Mrs. A. M. Neefe is visiting relatives at Newfleld.
Frank Cornell of Trout Brook was in this place, Monday.
W. S. Pfeiffer was down from Roulette, Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Goodnoe of Olean called on his parents Mr. and Mrs. O. V. Goodnoe, Sunday evening.

Little Daughter Born Last Thursday -- Alliance Gave Weiner Roust and Dance, Saturday.
Bell Run, Aug. 28. -- Raymond Washburn and family autoed to the Caneadea Dam, Sunday.
Mrs. Edith Johnson and daughters, Mary and Helen of Tully, N. Y., called at G. A. Crooks, Saturday evening, and with their daughter, Mrs. Lynn Holly and her husband of Shinglehouse, spent Sunday afternoon visiting Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Evans and Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Holcomb.
The Alliance gave a weiner roast and dance at the hall, Saturday night. There was a very good assembly of the members and several visitors from around home and also from Andrews Settlement.
Mr. and Mrs. Wolcott and sons from Owego visited Mrs. Bertha Terette over the week-end.
Joe Sweezy of Coudersport spent last week at L. V. Bridges Sunday evening. Mr. Bridge and family took him home and brought his brother back with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Gavisk and Mr. and Mrs. Davis and children of Hornell, Mr. and Mrs. Lucian Lewis and children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McElroy and children and Walter Holly of Myrtle and Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis and son Gerald ate a picnic dinner up in Doyle Hollow, Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Millard Crooks and son Dean of Bradford, Gerald Smith of Ceres, Mrs. Minnie Moore and mother, Mrs. Sherwood of Philadelphia, were Sunday guests at the home of G. A. Crooks.
Cecil Maxson has his threshing machine out and is threshing at Myrtle. His brother Keith, is helping him.
Mrs. Agnes Crooks, Mrs. Bertha Terette and daughter Mignon, Mrs. Ava Ford, Mrs. Luva DeRemer Mrs. Bertha Washburn daughter Dorothy, sons Leo and Donald, Mrs. Minnie Eastman and niece, Geraldine Foote, and Mrs. John Lewis attended Mrs. Lewis' Sunday School class picnic and missionary sewing tee at Mrs. Lila Danforth's at Myrtle Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Ford drove to Bradford, Saturday, after Mrs. Ford's sister, Mrs. Jessie Kurtz, and Sunday they all attended the Sherwood reunion at Raymond Ford's in Clara.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry De Remer and little daughter attended the De Remer reunion at the home of his father at Little Genesee. N. Y.. Sunday.
A little daughter, Iris Evelyn, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gooch on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bridge of Mt. Jewett visited at L. V. Bridge's, Sunday.

Birthday Dinner In Honor of His Mother -- Taking Test for Driver's License.
West Hebron, Aug. 28. -- Monta Frilligan was in Coudersport, Monday to take the test for driver's license.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Snyder of Allegany, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Swift and little daughter of Stanards, visited at Fred Snyder's, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Stearns visited their son, Lyle and wife at Bolivar, Sunday. They entertained at a birthday dinner in honor of his mother and her mother, Mrs. Reynolds, of Andrews Settlement.
Mrs. Ella Stearns and Miss Genevieve are spending a few days with her sister, Mrs. J. H. Miller at Coudersport.
Mrs. Edith Carley and son Ronald of Ulysses are spending a few days with her brother, Arthur Mattison and family.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Stearns, Mrs. Fred Snyder, daughter Elizabeth, Mrs. Alva Thompson, Miss Lena, Roy, Billy, June, Mr. and Mrs. George Dingman, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Brock, Mr. and Mrs. Judson Dingman, daughter Alta, Mrs. Leonard Brown attended the Weimer reunion last Thursday, near Roulette.
Elmer and Myron Bickford and lady friends were calling in this place, Sunday.
Christian Endeavor meeting was held in Alva Thompson's grove, Sunday evening. After the meeting they enjoyed a weiner roast.
Mr. and Mrs. Llewellyn Pepperman of Bradford, were calling on relatives, Saturday.
Mrs. Dellah Chaffee visited at North Eulalia and Colesburg from Friday until Sunday evening. Also attended a reunion at Fred Peet's.
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Atkinson were Coudersport visitors. Mrs. Atkinson is having dental work, done.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fish and baby of Austin visited friends in town, Sunda.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Jeffers of Austin were business callers in Coudersport Monday morning.
Mrs. Jack Frink has been called to Griggs, N. Y., by the serious illness of her sister, Mrs. Arthur Mahon.
Miss Harriet Gillis has returned to her home in Chicago, Ill., after two weeks visit at the home of Miss Celia Gillon.
Mrs. Verena Raymond and children are spending the week with her sister, Mrs. Howard Kenyon and family at Genesee.
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Neefe and children, Mr. and Mrs. William Gates, Harrison Gates, Miss Frances Gates and Howard Gates are attending the Toronto fair this week..

Laroy Burdick was born in 1818 at Sangerfield, Oneida County, New York. He married Angeline Green (1822-1853), who was born at Almond, Allegany County, New York, in 1840 at Alfred, New York. They had four children, 1841-1853, born at Alfred, Persia, and Hartsville, New York. Angeline died in childbirth. He married 2) Maryette Malvina Green (1827-1856), who was born at Alfred, New York, in 1853 at Persia, New York. They had one son born in 1856 at Alfred, New York. Maryette died two weeks after her son's birth. He married 3) Esther F. Randolph, who was born in 1828 in Harrison County, Virginia, in 1857 at Alfred, New York. They had six children, 1858-1867, born at Hebron, Potter County, Pennsylvania.
Also includes information about the father of Laroy Burdick. Silas Burdick (1785-1869) was born in Hoosac, Rensselaer County, New York, the son of Abraham Burdick, Jr. (d. 1785). He and his wife, ____ Gardiner, had three sons, 1809-1818. He also had another son, born ca. 1843, from a later marriage. He lived in Oneida, Madison and Cattearaugus Counties, New York.

She was Mrs. Anna Hampson, a widow with one child in 1850 when she married Edward Abson. Edward and Anna had five children, 1852-1862. They both died at Coudersport, Pennsylvania.
