  LifeSketch	Find a Grave: Obituary -- April 27 1938 Perry Herald Mrs. Myra C. Bentley Whitney, whose death took place on Apr 12, was born at Wyoming on October 14, 1849, the daughter of Norman B. and Clarissa Dewey Bentley. The family later moved to LeRoy where she was married to Edwin James Whitney of Pavilion on Jun 27, 1871. Upon finishing his course of study for the ministry, Mr Whitney with his family of wife and two children moved to his first charge at Parma, in 1874 as pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church. As a pastor\'s wife, Mrs. Whitney lived in many villages of Western New York and since the death of her husband in 1905 had resided in Castile. She is survived by six children: William F., and Cass Ward Whitney of Pittsburgh, Pa., Edwin M. of New York City, Alvin M. of Bradford, Pa., Yale B. of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. W. B. Bartlett of Castile. Burial was at Pavilion beside her husband, whose whole family, consisting of father, mother and eleven children lie near him.
