| Ar NYC. Agnes, her husband William, and their first two children immigrated in 1754 with Dr. Thomas Clark who was a physician & minister. Dr. Clark brought over a congregation of 300 people from Ireland. They arrived in New York on the 28th of July 1754. Some of the congregation went to South Carolina while the majority sailed up the Hudson River. They purchased 12,000 acres of the Turner Patent in Washington County, New York. The town eventually became known as Salem New York. William McCoy and his wife Agnes settled on lot 106. | ||||||||
