| About 1799 Isaac sold his home to his brother-in-law, Rodger Edgecomb, the father of Jonathan, who came to Potter County and built the famous Cherry Springs Hotel. Roger operated the 28 room house as a tavern. It became world famous and remained the best in town for over 100 years. A restored Lyman-Mohican House is still there, on a 37 acre lot, in the center of the town. Its history is recorded in a book which says: The Lyman-Mohican House is Bolton and Bolton is that house. | ||
