  	FYI: In the book "The Strongs of Strongville" p17 there is a page devoated to Thomas 1) FORD. It says.." Abigail FORD was the d/o Thomas FORD of Bridport, Dorsetshire, Eng. The records of that parish show that Thomas FORD & Elizabeth COOK were md 19 June 1616. This seems to have been the 2nd marriage for both. 2nd marriage for both. LDS- Eliz, widow of Aaron Cook.   	20250801GHLn- It is said that a 4th dau whos name is unknown was the wife of Major Aaron COOK. This seems to be predicated on the use in certrain records of the words "father-in-law" and "son-in-law" to define the relationship between Thomas FORD and COOK. It is objected that in those days these words usually meant "step-father" and "step-son" in which senses they are still used to some extent in England today. Note that Thomas Ford's wife Elizabeth was apparently the widow of an Aaron Cook, since there is a record that one of that name married Elizabeth Charde, at Thornscombe, Dorset, in 1610. Yet Aaron Cook, Jr., may have been both the step-son and the son-in-law of Thomas Ford.
