Janet Fox, 79, of Galeton, formerly of Sweden Hill, died on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport. She was born on June 5, 1931, in New Castle, daughter of the late Herbert and Ruth (Braatz) Neefe.
She was a 1950 graduate of Coudersport High School. Janet worked at the Hershey Chocolate Plant for 10 years and at Galeton Production for 14 years. She greatly enjoyed bowling.
She is survived by a brother, David (Elsie) Neefe, Cleona; a sister, Norma Neefe, Polk; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by a brother, Frederick Neefe.
Friends called at the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, Galeton on Monday, May 16, 2011, from 10 to 11 a.m., with Funeral Services following at 11 a.m. The Rev. David Shultz will officiate. Interment will be made in the Sweden Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA.
