Chester J. Petrosewitz
Chester J. "Chet" Petrosewitz, of Coudersport, PA died Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport.
Born in Austin, PA, Chet was son of Joseph and Elizabeth Pomenter Petrosewitz. On April 22, 1974 in Eldred, PA he married Joanne Thielges who survives. Chet graduated from Coudersport High School.
After graduation Chet did a variety of jobs including pipeline welder for Abbott Gas Company in Wharton, working on the Coudersport flood canal and building his own home nights and weekends. He was a building contractor for many years. In 1959 he began C & L Ford Sales in Coudersport. In 1965 he began Chet's Motor Sales, which he operated for 35 years. Chet loved to hunt, fish and especially liked to work in his woodworking shop at his house.
Surviving in addition to his wife are
two stepsons, Carl M. (Paula) Weimer of Tyrone, PA, and Gary A. Weimer of Ketchikan, AK,
one sister, Wanda Reed of Coudersport,
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
three brothers, Thomas Petrosewitz, Stanley Petrosewitz, and Anthony Petrosewitz, and
two sisters, Helen Douty and Mary Anne Walters.
Friends were received Monday, September 7, 2009 at the Fickinger Funeral Home of Coudersport and Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at St. Eulalia Catholic Church. A Mass of Christina Burial was celebrated Tuesday at the church with the Reverend James Campbell, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Port Allegany.

Dale Ulkins, Chet built my parents house in 1968. (Fred and Patsy Milliron). We were the only house that was there up above the County Home. Karl and Pat Lang were the 2nd house built there. You are right, Chet was a great man. ??

I have memories of when I was a kid in Sweden Valley, seeing Chet drive by my house on his way to his house near the Coudersport Golf Course. In his beautiful convertible, he looked like Hugh Hefner ????

I have lived in the same home for 47 years. He always was so handsome. John Domaleski enjoyed riding in his convertible.
