Robert D. (Bob) Morey Age 61, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
A fellowship luncheon will be held at South Corning Fire hall on Friday Sept 27th at 1:00 pm. Please join the family in Bobs honor and bring your stories to share.
Bob was born on January 18, 1952 in Coudersport, PA, the son of Owen and Leah (Kio) Morey.
Bob is survived by
- his mother , Leah, of Corning;
- wife, Lorena, of Elmira;
- daughter, Valerie, of Roulette, PA;
- grandson, Eric Mack, of Avondale, AZ;
- granddaughter , Kira Sutton, of Port Allegany, PA ;
sisters,
- Nancy Warner, of Addison;
- Beverly (Cesar) Majano, of Nashville, TN;
- Barbara (Archie) Hackett, of Summerville, SC;
- Linda (Eric) Hill, of Plymouth, OH;
- Anita (David) Brown, of Caton; and
- brother Albert (Buffy) Morey of Corning;
along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by
- his father, Owen and
- brother, Kenneth, both of Corning.
During his life Bob founded and operated Moreys Lumber Company in Roulette, PA for several years before moving to Elmira.
He was a devoted family man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Monetary contributions may be made to "Nickle Creeks Annual Take A Child Fishing Day Derby" at nicklecreekbt.tripod.com, or Near Westside Neighborhood Associations River Fest at NWNAINC.COM Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY.

Robert C. Morey
Robert C. Morey, 87, a lifelong resident of Coudersport, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at UPMC Cole, Coudersport.
Bob was born on July 31, 1933 in Coudersport, the son of the late Albert C. and Grace L.(Davey) Morey.
Bob retired from National Fuel Gas in 1993 after 28 years of service. He was a proud Army veteran and an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time in the woods and knew his beloved Potter County mountains like the back of his hand. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, looking for old bottles, snowmobiling, metal detecting and was skilled at fixing things, which he often did for friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed learning and sharing local history, and swapping tall tales around a campfire. He will be forever loved and remembered as "Ol' Grandpa Up North" by his grandsons.

Surviving are a loving daughter, Priscilla (John IV) Garvin of Conowingo, MD; brothers, Bill Morey of West Pike; Donald Morey of Smethport; Ron (Joanne) Morey of Coudersport; grandchildren, John (Ashley) Garvin V, Josh (Madison) Garvin, Morgan Moyer, Brett Page and Hunter Garvin; two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Morey, brothers,
Charles and Owen Morey, and sisters, Donna Potocek and Frances Swanger.
A graveside service will be held July 17, 2021 at the Sweden Hill Cemetery.
