Remains to be Brought to Sterling For Burial Saturday Afternoon -Services in Congregational Church at 1:30 -Lived a Good Life in This Vicinity.
Arthur Wetzel, a former well known resident of Sterling and Rock Falls, died in Elgin at 3 o'clock this morning after an illness of several months dur. ation. Death wAg due to tuberculosis of the lungs. The deceased had been west In the hope that the climate would prove to be bencficial to his health and had arrived in Elgin from Colorado Springs only three hours hefore his demise.
Mr. Wetzel was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Wetzel and was a native of Whiteside county, having been born near Tampico about 22 years ago, He was educated in the public schools of Rock Falls, being a graduate of the high school. Later he was employed in a railroad office in Chicugo, but. on account of failing health he WAS forced to resign and 50 west, which he did about a year ago.
On September 6, 1904, he was united in marriage to Miss Jessie Teach, or Rock Falls. 'She with his father, mother and two sisters survive him. The Bisters are Elsie, and Tessie, who reside in Elgin. The remains will be brought to this city for Interment, arriving oti the 1:02 p. m. train on the C. & N. W. Saturday. Upon the Arrival of the train the cortege will proceed to the Congregational church where a funeral service will be held At 1:10 o'clock. Interment .will be made in Riverside, cemetery. The body will be borne to its last resting place by Messrs. William Pipport, John Washburn, Arthur Curtla, George Decker, F. E. Brown and Charles McGrath..
