• Deforest 'Bud' Knight, 86, was Cleveland firefighter
PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. - Deforest L. 'Bud' Knight was a Cleveland firefighter for 30 years, retiring in 1972.
Mr. Knight, 86, was born in Roulette, Pa., and was a graduate of Roulette Schools.
He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Allegany and the Knights of Columbus.
He died Sunday at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport.
He also was a member of the 50 Plus Club of Allegany Senior Center and Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
His wife, Anna, died in 1996. They were married in Cleveland in 1939.
Survivors include his sons, Donald A. of Lakewood, William T. Yorktown, Va., and Michael J. of Parma; eight grandchildren; and two great -grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 203 Arnold Ave., Port Allegany.
Arrangements are by the Robert J. Hartle funeral home in Port Allegany.
