In 1935, Delbert Hamilton, age 33, was living in Coudersport with his wife Hattie Gail, 32, and two sons Delbert E., 4, and Johnny R., 8/12 (1 Apr 1940 US Census). Luella Mae Mitchell Hamilton, my mother, once said she thought Delbert moved to Coudersport to work for a gas company. Delbert did not stay in Coudersport. In 1940, he was living with his family in Apollo, Armstrong Co., PA, and he was working as a laborer for a gas company (1940 US Census). Three of his younger brothers did settle in Coudersport.
