•MRS. AMANDA S. WETZEL Mrs. Amanda Strawsburg Wetzel, widow of the late Hezekiah Wetzel died Thursday Jan. 28, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Winfield Williams at Eccleston, Baltimore County, from the Infirmities of age. The deceased was aged 85 years, one month and 10 days and is survived by four children as follows: Mrs. Winfield Williams and Mrs. Charles Williams, Eccleston, Baltimore e County; Mrs. David Snyder, Ridgeville, and Marshall Wetzel, near Woodbine, also 24 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She spent several years in the neighborhood of -Berrett, Carroll County and the remainder of her life was spent in Howard and Baltimore counties. The remains were brought to Brandenburg M. P. church where funeral services were held Sunday at 11 o'clock by the Rev. Mr. Paul pastor of the M. E. church at Steveson, Md. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

FREDERICK.- "Miss Hood College," or the average Hood student, is 19 years old, weighs 122 pounds and is 5 feet, 3.9 inches tall, according to official statistics on the subject. "Sweet sixteen" is a descriptive phrase that can be used for only few college girls here, and all of the latter are members of the class of 1935. The old saying, "five feet two, eyes of blue" is slightly out of vogue, as may be observed in a survey which could have been made only by one skilled in the intricate science of mathematics..
