Deaths Marshall Snook Dies of Gunshot
AVIS-Clinton County deputy coroner Mrs. Edna Mae Eckert that Marshall Duane Snook, 31, died yesterday of self-inficted gunshot. He shot himself in the basement of his Grove St. home here at 2:15 5 p. m. His wife and father were upstairs at the time.
The World War II veteran operated a garage at the rear of his home. The deputy coroner said a member of his family reported he had been working hard recently, He shot himself with 20 gauge shotgun, the deputy said. It was right temple wound.
Besides his garage, Mr. Snook was employed at the Piper plant in Lock Haven as a lathe operator. At the time his a death he was building an addition to his home.
A native of Rauchtown and member of the Avis Methodist Church, his wife is the former Betty Mae Clark. Other survivors include his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Snook;
two children, Donald Lee and Dennis Edward, and
two brothers, Gordon and Rodmar, all of Jersey Shore.
Funeral services will be held from Kelchner's Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Thursday. It will be a private service.
