His son George confirmed that story. Another early Coudy gridder... Art Menschel......gave my Dad his football "helmet"...it was one of those early "dog ear" folding leather models. I think dad gave it to the Potter County Historical Society when Bob Currin was in charge. Cool stuff! He was a major in the 5 th Air Force. I've read articles about him and they list him from Coudersport, Williamsport, and Phila area graduating from Temple. My Dad often spoke of him. The office was on Chestnut Street and the scrap yard was located close the the old Round House. I remember the Brock home was on North Main Street.
