In 1870 Tyler Co, Ellsworth Twp, WV, David Roberts - 58, Matilda - 57, Amanda - 22, John - 15, Franklinton - 13 and Fred -4. Also found Eli Wetzel - 26, Julia Ann - 19 and Mary 10/12. I have a letter written by David and Matilda's great-grand daughter Roxie, and she talks about her Aunt Rebecca Wetzel in this letter. Do you have anything on Amanda Roberts in your files connecting her to your Wetzel family ? Or a Charles Roberts ? A brief history of my family is as follows - my grandmother is Jessie Roberts, her dad is Charles Roberts, his mother is Amanda Roberts and her parents David and Matilda Roberts. My grandfather Charles is one of the boys born out of wedlock ! The story passed down to his children then to their children is that his father was a Wetzel.
