  Source Medium: Electronic http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvwetzel/magnolia/northview_cemetery_east.htm Northview Cemetery is the main cemetery for the New Martinsville area and people are brought here for burial from all over. However, this one isn't used as much as Greenlawn, as it is older. It is on both sides of the highway. There are circular drives through it and many large, impressive monuments, of the original "City Fathers", making it an interesting cemetery to visit. Many have been moved here from country cemeteries. In most cases their monument has not been moved. The mausoleum here was built by Harry Beiby, a contractor, and a flag pole was erected by the V F W, as a memorial to all servicemen. The following epitaph is fitting for this cemetery, as there are so many soldier buried here. I didn't note where I copied this from, not from Northview. "Tread lightly here! This lonely grave Is now the resting place of one Who fought, his country"s flag, to save Anf fall with freedom's armor on."
